JAMB Announces Deadline for Correction of 2025 UTME Subjects for all Candidates – Here is How to Correct UTME Subjects 2025/2026.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the deadline for candidates to correct their subject combinations for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is 3rd March 2025.

This announcement is crucial for candidates who may have made errors during their registration process or need to update their subject choices to align with their desired course of study.

JAMB’s Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, emphasised the importance of this deadline, urging candidates to take advantage of the opportunity to make necessary corrections before it elapses.

Failure to do so may result in candidates sitting for exams with subjects that do not meet the requirements of their chosen courses, which could affect their admission prospects.

Choosing the right subject combination is a critical step in the UTME registration process.

Each course of study in Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education has specific subject requirements.

For instance, a candidate aspiring to study Medicine must have English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as part of their UTME subjects.

If a candidate mistakenly selects the wrong subjects, it could disqualify them from gaining admission into their preferred institution.

How to Correct UTME Subjects 2025/2026

Candidates who need to correct their subject combinations can do so by following these steps:

  1. Visit any accredited JAMB CBT centre or JAMB office.
  2. Request for the subject correction service.
  3. Provide your registration details for verification.
  4. Make the necessary changes to your subject combinations.
  5. Pay the required fee for the correction service.
