Benue State University Appoints Barnabas As New Registrar

The Governing Council of Benue State University (BSU) has announced Mr Barnabas Terfa Hemba’s appointment as the new Registrar of the institution, effective Friday, November 1st, 2024.

This decision on Tuesday, 22nd October 2024 marks a significant step in the university’s administration.

Mr Hemba comes to his new role with a wealth of experience, having served as the Deputy Registrar in charge of the Senior Staff Establishment Division at BSU.

His extensive background in university administration equips him well for the challenges and responsibilities of the Registrar position.

Mr. Hemba earned a Bachelor’s in Agricultural Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

His academic credentials, coupled with his professional experience, make him a suitable choice to lead the university’s administrative arm.

In addition to his academic achievements, Mr. Hemba is actively involved in professional associations.

He serves as the Chairman of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) at Benue State University.

He is a member of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), where he previously held the position of Branch Chairman.

His leadership roles within these organisations demonstrate his commitment to improving university administration and staff welfare.

Mr. Hemba is also a family man, married with six children, highlighting his dedication to his professional and personal responsibilities.
