The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that foreign candidates, blind and deaf candidates, as well as prison inmates, will be exempted from pre-admission screening tests for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration.
The announcement was made by Mr. Johnson Adebiyi, the Gombe State JAMB Coordinator, during an advocacy visit to the Nigerian Correctional Service in Gombe.

Adebiyi explained that the visit was aimed at sensitizing inmates about the 2025 UTME registration process and informing them about the waivers available for eligible candidates.
“The Board and Tertiary Institutions have resolved that all foreign, blind, deaf, and prison inmates are to be exempted from pre-admission screening tests in their institutions of choice,” Adebiyi stated.
